How to launch an e-commerce business

Do you want generate money online and have a great, passive income? Then the idea to build an e-commerce empire would work for you!

The project can give you stable income, opportunity to live whenever you want, travel, spend time with your family and many more things.

But before you have to build a stable project based on good strategies, marketing and constant control. How to make all that – read in my article!

Before you start you have to think about…

1. Product

What do you want to sell? This is one of the most important question because the product shall be relevant in order to avoid all risk and losses.

Here there is a tip for you - Go to Google Trends and type in a word that describes your product, eg: “phone case” or “headlights”. You’ll see in a graph below how much interest there is in a particular region

2. Audience

Who is you target? Where do they live? Do you need to translate your web and to what languages? How are you going to communicate with them (formal tone, informal, what design would you pick for them – bright colors, simple patterns, etc.)

3. E-commerce platform

Nowadays there are many e-commerce platforms what offer ready-made solutions (PrestaShop, Magento, WeCommerce, Shopify, etc). I tried many of them and I want to say that the most convenient in all terms is Shopify. You can build a shop within a few days, upload all products, they do have great customer support and solve all bugs quickly. In terms od SEO and marketing it is also good, there are many apps inside the platform what you can use, even apps for free

4. SEO and Marketing

SEO and Marketing campaigns will drive customers and generate profit for your business. It is highly important constantly get knowledge how to generate Ads efficiently.

-You can use Facebook Ads. My advice is you do is select the best products you have in your store and create a carousel. Then you have to adjust the audience, chose a budget and make it active! Simple as that!

- Generate Cross Sells and Up sells via different apps in Shopify.

5. Building a name

Once your website works correctly, you must think about brand loyalty and your reputation. Think what else you can offer to your customer? Free samples, better customer experience, convenient payment options. Always keep your all policies up to date, work on customer support, answer all inquiries, entertain your audience in other social channels like Instagram, upload more quality content, stay up to date with all social networks and new trends (for example Instagram is developing every day, there are new algorithms and rules that evaluate engagement and affect your visibility).
