5 tips to stay motivated

New pandemic virus COVID-19 drastically changed our lives, society, mindset.

More than one-quarter of the world's 7.8 billion people are now largely confined to their homes, as governments step up curbs on movement and social contact to contain the virus.

Within several months it turned people’s life upside down. Much remains uncertain, but analysts say the pandemic and the measures we are taking to save ourselves could permanently change the ways in which we live, work, worship and play in the future.

For now, all we have to do is stay home and work online, which is not so bad idea if you follow some rules and advices.

How do you turn remote work into a productivity boon and more pleasant experience?

1.Dress differently

To give your brain signal that your work day is started and you are ready to be productive and get results, you need to differentiate your workplace and dress differently. To work in your pajama is not a good idea.

2.Keep your workplace clean and organized

Clean and tidy workplace will help you to be more organized and productive. Thus your will make it enjoyable process.

3.Right Tools

Effective communication is always a challenge for home workers, particularly if you want to manage upward. With the help of modern productivity platforms, you can easily delegate tasks among your employees, track the progress, comment, chat and discuss current projects. If you want to become more productive, get comfortable with collaboration tools like Skype, Slack or Google Docs.

4.Track your time

I also suggest tracking how you spend your day using an app like Harvest. Sometimes being a freelancer means to overwork trying to do impossible, sometimes you don’t know how much time you have spend on distractions. Its very important to measure your time to understand when you're most and least productive and what you should spend more or less time on. This knowledge will help you adjust your schedule accordingly.

5.Planning

Always plan things you have to accomplish each day and write them on paper. It is very easy to forget what had you planned as during the day there are many things appears on the go.

A little bit of self-discipline is all you need when working from home. It can be very productive and enjoyable if you set these rules. Actually, is not a bad idea to turn your home into a workplace, as you commute would be less than 15 seconds. Imagine commuting 5 days a week - it’s quite exhausting. Besides, you don’t need to ask anyone permission to have a little break to do some housework or other things that can come up to your mind.
