7 fun and productive ways to survive the boredom of isolation

New pandemic virus COVID-19 drastically changed our lives, society, mindset.

Within several months it turned people’s life upside down and made the government to adopt preventive measures – self isolation and quarantine.  This is new era, new way of living and I am going to show you the ways to face it.

We are not used to be self-isolated and it is hard moment for everyone, but we have to know how to deal with it, being adaptive and flexible to imminent changes! Read my article and find out about what interesting things you can do while being in isolation. There’s a world to explore from your armchair and many things are free.

1.Work online

I assume that majority of my readers are entrepreneurs and there is no need to stop working, as you can do many things online. With the help of modern productivity platforms, you can easily delegate tasks among your employees, track the progress, comment, chat and discuss current projects.

2.Do sport online

Never stop keep your body moving! There are plenty ways of practicing sport at home. If you never had time to start new yoga course, this is a time to make it! Numerous applications in your smartphones can be amazing coaches for you – for example the Nike Training Club has free workouts as well as paid premium workouts and programs led by trainers.

3.Walk or riding a bike

Public transport is no longer safe place, so why not to walk if its short distance or use a bicycle if it is longer distance? It will be way more better for your health and mind.

4.Time to study new skill

It’s wonderful opportunity to take any online course, invest in yourself! There are plenty of online platforms with free courses offered by universities, colleges and other educational institutions from around the world, on subjects ranging from artificial intelligence to history or philosophy. You can do a whole course or a single subject.

5.Watch Ted Talks

American media organisation Ted Talks posts video talks by experts and thought leaders in education, business, science, tech and creativity. They’re distributed free online under the banner ‘ideas worth spreading’. Their short educational videos are absolutely amazing and worth watching!

6.Enjoy Art Exhibitions

Paris Louvre has online tours of some of its exhibitions and galleries, including its Egyptian antiquities collection.  In London, the Victoria and Albert Museum allows you to search its collections, from jewellery to paintings. The Uffizi museum and gallery in Florence, Italy, has themed online collections.

7.Listen a Livestream concert

 

Thank to the new initiative of Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation’s #TogetherAtHome we have an opportunity to enjoy concert series of favourite artists online.
