Do you want to increase your visibility in search engines and drive more traffic to your online store? Then read this article and you will be on a path to create something truly monumental!
Like with all SEO campaigns, Ecommerce SEO should begin with keyword research. But with ecommerce sites, there are two main types of pages to optimize: category and product pages. Remember to cover top keywords as well as cover long-tail variations, but also so-called semantically related words and synonyms (e.g., “all in one brewing system”).
On-page is an internal structure of any web. To get your search engine traffic from every piece of content that you publish you have to have your web perfectly optimized and prepared for Google Robots so they could read and detect your web easily and fast.
-Start title tag with a key word
To get your traffic your webpage you have to put your keyword closer the beginning of the title tag
-Always mind H1, H2
Never forget to wrap your heading in tag H1, and tag H2 for subheading
-Engage content with images, videos and diagrams can reduce bounce rate and increase time on site: two critical user interaction ranking factors.
– Use Links
I always advice to all my customers to use outbound links. If your use links from authority sites it will be better for you, because it is another ranking factor. Internal links are also powerful tool in better navigation
– Use friendly URL. You want them to be as easy and readable as possible.
– Fix Duplicate Content Issues
Speed optimization is another factor you must work on. You can boost your site speed by using a CDN, compressing images, or you even can consider buying faster hosting. Your website has to load not more than 4 seconds.
4.Use HTTPS safe protocol
Almost all ecommerce stores feature many forms which collect personal details from users. So it’s good practice to make sure ALL information is encrypted (not just credit card details).
5.Write Unique Product & Category Descriptions
Try to make your description easy to read and mention advantages and what customer can get. Don’t copy/paste product descriptions from manufacturers websites. Write the content yourself.
6.Add Schema Markup for rich snippets.
Rich snippets are not only more attractive and eye-catching, but they also generate more clicks and increase CTR by up to 30%. This brings more traffic. Which results in more sales.
These were my tips to create a perfect anatomy of the webpage that attracts customers. If you follow these practices, it’s highly likely that you might get an edge over your competitors.
