The 69-year-old is the only daughter of Sam Walton, the founder of US supermarket giant Walmart.
After all she focused on the arts and became the chairman of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in the family's hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas.
2. Francoise Bettencourt Meyers & Family: $48.9 billion
She along with her family, owns 33% of the L'Oréal cosmetics company.
The 65-year-old inherited her wealth from her mother Liliane Bettencourt. They had been estranged and entered into a long dispute in 2007.
3. Julia Koch & Family: $38.2 billion
Julia Koch and her three children inherited a 42% stake in Koch Industries from her husband, David, who died in August 2019 at age 79.
4. Mackenzie Bezos: $36 billion
The ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (who is one of the richest people in the world). As part of their divorce in 2019, MacKenzie received 25% of Jeff's Amazon stake, or 4% of the company. An interesting fact that she was one of Amazon's first employees, having joined as an accountant.
5. Beate Heister & Karl Albrecht Jr.: $33.3 billion
Beate Heister (born 5 October 1951) is a German billionaire heiress. She is one of the two children of Karl Albrecht, who founded the discount supermarket chain Aldi with his brother Theo.
6. Jacqueline Mars: $24.7 billion
The 79-year-old owns a third of the world's largest confectioner Mars, which was set up by her grandfather Frank in 1911.
Now she is described as a philanthropist, sitting on boards for the Washington National Opera and the National Archives. She is also one of the largest manufacturers of pet food in the US.
7. Yang Huiyan & Family: $20.3 billion
The 37-year-old Yang owns a majority stake in the Chinese property giant Country Garden Holdings, which was the third biggest property developer in 2016. After it Yan Huiyan inherited most of her 57% share in the company from her father.
8. Susanne Klatten: $16.8 billion
She inherited 50% of Altana AG, a large chemical producer. Then she made the company private and invested in bought stakes in other companies – from wind power to graphite production.
9. Laurene Powell Jobs & Family: $16.4 billion
Laurene is the widow of Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple. She inherited $20bn in stakes in Apple and Disney. After she invested in coding school and set up the Emerson Collective that works for immigration and education reform.
10. Zhong Huijuan: $14.6 billion
Zhong Huijuan chairs Chinese drugmaker Hansoh Pharmaceutical, which produces oncology, psychoactive, antidiabetic and other drugs.
Her husband, Sun Piaoyang is also a pharmaceuticals billionaire and leads Shanghai-listed Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine.
