Warren Buffet

Buffet still prefers to live in the same house that he bought in 1958 for $31,500. The investing genius believes that he feels more contended and happy as compared to if he would own multiple houses. He argues that after a particular point that you have everything that you need, it doesn’t really make a difference how much you own.

Carlos Slim Helu
Like Buffet, founder of Grupo Carso, Carlos Slim Helu, has inhabited a single house for a very long time. His six room house was bought by him 40 years back, and since then, he has not left it. Despite sharing a similar lifestyle to Buffet, his philosophy for not accumulating and spending much, moves in another direction. He holds that more money should be used to grow your wealth. Consequently, he invests a major cut of his profits back into his companies. Slim is also known for running his companies frugally, as the operations hold a conservative approach towards extravagant expenditures. In his private life, he still drives the old Mercedez Benz.

Charlie Ergen is the chairman of dish network. The self made billionaire started pretty humbly and now that he is one of the most famous billionaires on the planet; he still prefers to live that way. Ergen still takes a lunchbox to his work place and quite recently, he is reported to have shared the hotel rooms with his colleagues during business tours.

Founder ofInditex, Ortego seems unaffected by the amount of money he makes when it comes to personal spending habits of the billionaire. He seems to enjoy the life, the way he has lived for years. He resides in a simple apartment with his wife and visits the nearby coffee shop on regular basis. Ortego eats with his employees in company cafeteria during the lunch break. The multi billionaire has a simple white shirt, blue blazer and gray pants uniform that he wears to work every day.

Premji serves as a chairman of Wipro Ltd, and reportedly owns more than a whopping $16.5 billion dollars. With very hefty pockets, Premji never fails to inspire with his frugality. Whether it’s about taking a three wheeler rickshaw to home from airport, travelling economy or using second hand cars, Premji endorses his priorities when it comes to spending. He was also reported advising his employees to be mindful when using lights at Wipro.
