Why one should become an entrepreneur?

Becoming an entrepreneur isn’t just about earning loads of money, freedom and having no bosses.

It is just the brighter side of the picture which most of us like to stare at because end result is what matters to most of us. Years of reflection, months of grinding and a continuous to keep up with every day challenges, are lesser known aspects of entrepreneurship. Moreover, there are high levels of risk and uncertainty involved, which can lead one to higher stress levels and even depression in some cases. Yes, it’s a post to encourage entrepreneurship, but stating what comes along with the glorified entrepreneurial lifestyle is equally important.

“Becoming an entrepreneur isn’t just about earning loads of money, freedom and having no bosses.”

What really makes entrepreneurship truly amazing is that despite all the hardships and restless nights, it is still worth it. Here it is what truly drives the entrepreneurs and what makes it worth all the hassle:

1) Doing your Things:
Entrepreneurship allows you to craft a business and regular stream of income around your passion. Most people are forced to do stuff at jobs that they don’t really enjoy doing. Consequently, it leaves you unsatisfied and hinders you to outperform. Doing stuff that really drives you increases your productivity manifolds and you seem to enjoy your work.

2) Financial Freedom:
Creating your own business is the ultimate roadway to gaining financial freedom. Your efforts are remunerated accordingly and you set yourself for earning more than just sustaining your cash cycle. A job is not destined at making you rich, but rather sufficing you for the minimum.

3) Sense of Empowerment:
Owning a business makes you feel empowered and powerful. You are no more dependent on an individual to get your finances right. The feeling of owning a business is not only powerful, but satisfying as you know that you are able to create a difference in your client’s lives, even if it is a trivial one.

4) Independence:
Entrepreneurship sets you free from prevalent norms and beliefs. You are no more bound to act in a way that, you are expected to act and can make choices what make sense to you. You can decide your own working hours, your operational style and go out of the way to make alterations, what in your opinion can work best for you and your business.

5) Conventional Education is not required:
Best entrepreneurs are not college graduates and have not earned PhD degrees. Actually, conventional education prepares an individual to be an ideal employee. Traditional academics fail to teach stuff that really matters in real life and instill students into believing that an “ideal job” is what they all want. They are expected to be good and regular people who are encouraged to not to be open to other dimensions. Consequently, they end up doing run of the mill stuff and fail to make it big in life.

6) You don’t have to be a genius:
To make it big in the business, you don’t have to be the smartest guy in the room. You can launch a start up by hiring the smartest minds and make it a success. The only ability you need is to cope with risks and leverage it to your benefit. It’s true that instead of hard skills, people with soft interpersonal skills tend to perform.
